Digital Sovereignty & Tech Governance

We address the risks of foreign control over Africa's digital infrastructure and data. DIID promotes homegrown solutions such as local data centers, open-source tools, and policies that protect African digital sovereignty.

Algorithmic Governance & Digital Inequality

AI and algorithms affect how people access jobs, services, and opportunities. We push for transparency, fairness, and accountability in automated systems while building frameworks that reflect African contexts and realities.

Online Safety & Child Protection

The internet should be safe for everyone, especially children. We research, train, and advocate for stronger safeguards against cyberbullying, exploitation, and disinformation while promoting responsible digital use.

Digital Authoritarianism & Rights Protection
